The Truly Universal Oil!

Ecology and Environmental Protection

Ecology and environmental protection play an increasingly important role when choosing certain chemical products. BALLISTOL was the first quality oil for maintenance and body care. It has been caring for the environment since it was invented way back in 1904. The ecological properties of BALLISTOL were known more than 90 years ago and having a care for nature has always been important to us. Ballistol is skin friendly and has thousands of uses around the home and the workshop. Truly an oil for virtually anything.

What is Ballistol made from?

BALLISTOL is based on a medicinally pure white oil. This kind of oil is used as a component in many medicines. It is absolutely non- toxic and harmless to people, animals and lower organisms. It does not contaminate water. if the oil gets into the ground it will be decomposed by micro-organisms and integrated into the natural circulation.

The active ingredients contained in BALLISTOL can be found combined or uncombined with other elements in nature. They are decomposed in the course of natural circulation like all natural substances and compounds. Consequently, they bear no ecological risks. Neither is there any kind of chlorinated hydrocarbon in BALLISTOL, which could be detrimental to our environment or our health such as PCB’s or dioxins. Although sprays are objectionable in the eyes of environmentalists, we can‘t do without them in many fields of application. BALLISTOL Spray lives up to the demands of an environment friendly spray.

BALLISTOL spray contains propane and butane as propellants. In contrast to the oil, the spray also contains a pure hydrocarbon to improve the atomisation. Propane, butane together with this solvent are broken down in the lower atmosphere within a fortnight turning to carbon dioxide and water. These two elements are also a part of the natural circulation.

The Importance of Packaging and the Environment

The importance of packaging materials and the choices we make can have a negative or beneficial effect on the environment. BALLISTOL has always been bottled in glass, which can easily be recycled. Plastic bottles have to be made of a special synthetic material that would aggravate the problem of overflowing garbage dumps. In larger quantities BALLISTOL is only available in metal containers, cans or canisters, never in plastic containers. These metals are also fully recyclable as are the empty spray cans.

As you can see, BALLISTOL has been at the front of ecology and Environmental protection for decades, it is non toxic and harmless which we hope is an additional reason for you why BALLISTOL remains or becomes number one for you. Read the full story here
