We are happy to announce that Rose Metal Press books will now be distributed to trade (retail bookstores, university bookstores, Amazon, Bookshop, and other online sellers) by Itasca Books. We have worked with Itasca’s sister company Bookmobile, a printer, for a number of years and have always been impressed with the quality of their work and their customer service. We are excited to work with the team at Itasca to get RMP books into the hands of more readers!
Even though we were forced to change distributors by the sudden closure of Small Press Distribution (read more about the unconscionable way SPD closed without warning and owing all their presses a lot of money, including owing RMP about $40,000, at the links below), we look forward to even better distribution and smoother operations through Itasca. Thanks to the team there for all the help and support during the transition!

The Washington Post (Publisher Abby Beckel quoted)
Jane Friedman’s The Hot Sheet (RMP featured, publisher Abby Beckel quoted, and a great explainer about book distribution)
